Terms & Conditions
This page sets out the terms and conditions under which we supply the services described on this website and elsewhere. Please read these carefully before purchasing or subscribing. You should understand that by ordering any of our products or services you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Please check the box on the checkout page to confirm you accept these terms and conditions. Please understand that if you refuse to accept these terms and conditions you will not be able to purchase or subscribe.
1. About Us
Chart Reading Academy is a brand of Trading Univer$ity Ltd. This website is operated by Trading Univer$ity Ltd (we/us). The services supplied via this website are supplied by Trading Univer$ity Ltd.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is by credit or debit card at the time of purchase or subscription. The credit or debit card will be authorised and charged for the full purchase amount using secure online purchasing facilities provided by PayPal, Stripe, Thrivecart and/or other online payment services. We accept payment with all major credit and debit cards.
3. Value Added Tax
Prices quoted on this website exclude VAT. For clients based in the United Kingdom or the European Union, Trading Univer$ity Ltd is obliged to charge and collect VAT in addition to the price of the product or service purchased. Clients based outside the European Union fall outside the scope of VAT and are not subject to this additional cost.
For VAT purposes the place of supply is deemed to be (a) your country of operation for "digital products" (as defined by UK HMRC) and (b) United Kingdom for "services" (as defined by UK HMRC). The chargeable rate of VAT is determined by the place of supply.
Trading Univer$ity Ltd charges in Pounds Sterling (GBP). If you are not in the UK your credit card company will charge you in your local currency and convert sufficient funds to meet the fixed GBP amount in each billing period. Therefore the bill in your local currency may vary between payments depending on the prevailing exchange rate at the time each payment if processed.
5. Subscriptions & Split Payment Plans
5.1 Memberships and subscriptions are automatically billed on a recurring billing whether monthly, quarterly, yearly or any other frequency offered at the time of subscribing. The credit or debit card used at the time of subscribing will be billed automatically for on-going subscriptions unless cancelled by yourself or by Trading Univer$ity Ltd, prior to the next renewal date.
5.2 Split payment plans are not subscriptions. These are sometimes offered for discrete purchases where the payment is made over a fixed number of instalments (2, 3, 6 etc) rather than all up front. Split payment plans do not endure indefinitely and are automatically cancelled upon completion of the final payment.
6.1 You may cancel a subscription at any time and owe nothing further. To cancel a subscription agreement you can either (a) log into your PayPal account and cancel your recurring billing agreement (if you used PayPal when setting up your subscription), or (b) request that Trading Univer$ity Ltd cancel the subscription by raising a support ticket (if you used Credit Card or PayPal when setting up your subscription). If you cancel by way of raising a support ticket you must notify us at least 48 business hours prior to the next payment. When the service is cancelled the access will be terminated at that time irrespective of where in the billing cycle it is, so you should cancel a service towards the end of a billing period.
6.2 Should a subscription payment fail to process, access will be automatically suspended until such time as the outstanding amount is successfully processed at which time access will be re-instated. The payment will be attempted two further times over subsequent days. If a subscription payment fails on all three attempts the subscription will be deemed to be cancelled.
6.3 Split payment plans may not be cancelled until the final payment has been completed at which time the plan will be automatically cancelled. Access to the product purchased with a split payment plan will continue in accordance with that offered at the time of purchase.
6.4 Should a payment fail to process under a split payment plan, access will be automatically suspended until such time as the outstanding amount is successfully processed at which time access will be re-instated. The payment will be attempted two further times over subsequent days. If such a payment fails to be processed on all three attempts the split payment plan will be deemed to be delinquent and appropriate actions will be taken to recover the debt.
Re-joining a service will provide immediate access and start a new billing cycle from that date. However if you wish to re-join using your original username please contact us beforehand so that we can unsuspended your username. We don’t do this automatically.
8. Refund Policy
8.1 Subject to clause 19.5, you may cancel a Contract at any time within seven working days, beginning on the day after you purchased (the Cooling Off Period). In this case, you will receive a full refund of the price paid as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days.

In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full, including the cost of sending the item to you. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item (physical product) to us.
8.3 We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
23.6 If we fail, at any time during the term of a Contract, to insist upon strict performance of any of your obligations under the Contract or any of these terms and conditions, or if we fail to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which we are entitled under the Contract, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations. No waiver by us of any of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you in writing in accordance with clause 21 above.
23.7 If any of these terms and conditions or any provisions of a Contract are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
23.8 These terms and conditions, and any document expressly referred to in them, constitute the whole agreement between us and supersede any previous arrangement, understanding or agreement between us, relating to the subject matter of any Contract.
